Behind the move is a secret plan that could finally transform her career.

Kelly Brook is preparing to make a major move to Los Angeles as she sets her sights on landing a significant movie role.

The model, actress and television personality is renting a property near the famous Hollywood Hills and is expected to travel to California next week, where she plans to begin a busy schedule of auditions and meetings.

At 34, Kelly is determined to take another serious shot at establishing herself in Hollywood. Her most recent film appearance came several years earlier in the horror comedy Piranha 3D, but she now sees the upcoming pilot season as an important opportunity to get back into the film industry.

Kelly will reportedly be joined in the US by her then-boyfriend, former TV Gladiator David McIntosh, who was 27 at the time. While he had professional commitments in Britain, he was expected to divide his time between the UK and America.

A source close to Kelly said she was determined to prove herself to major Hollywood filmmakers and demonstrate that she could take on a role that would establish her as a serious actress.

With numerous meetings and auditions reportedly arranged, Kelly was prepared to put all her energy into pursuing new opportunities. Those close to her described her as ambitious and determined to make the most of the chance.

Although she planned to spend an extended period in Los Angeles, Kelly was also keeping her home in central London.

Hollywood was not completely unfamiliar territory for her. She had previously lived in Los Angeles with actor Jason Statham and appeared in the 2003 science-fiction thriller Absolon.

She later met actor Billy Zane while working with him on Survival Island, which was released in 2005. Kelly also took on a television acting role in the 2006 Agatha Christie’s Marple episode The Moving Finger.

Despite her previous work, Kelly was eager to establish a stronger presence on the big screen.

According to the source, she felt that the previous few years had seen her personal life receive more attention than her career. Now, she wanted to shift the focus back toward acting and build something substantial professionally.
