He claimed that in 1981 he was recruited for a secret CIA experiment involving time travel. According to his story, he was taken to a classified facility and became part of an experiment that supposedly transported him to the year 2118.<\/p>\n

His most talked-about piece of \u201cevidence\u201d was a blurry photograph that he said he had taken after arriving in the future. The image appeared to show a strange skyline filled with enormous, greenish buildings. Smith claimed the city was known as District 508<\/strong> and described a futuristic world containing unusual skyscrapers, flying vehicles and advanced technology.<\/p>\n

Smith also offered an explanation for why the photograph looked so distorted. He claimed that the process of traveling through time had affected the image, leaving it blurry and difficult to interpret.
