Rapper and singer Akon has left the internet laughing after sharing an unbelievable story about a private performance he gave for a wealthy family in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Everything was prepared on a massive scale.<\/p>\n

There was a giant stage, LED screens, lasers, a fully equipped dressing room stocked according to his rider, and his entire touring crew, including sound, lighting and management. Akon said the production looked like it could have cost millions.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on Andrew Schulz\u2019s Flagrant<\/em> podcast, the \u201cLonely\u201d singer revealed that he was reportedly paid $1 million to perform a private concert for a wealthy, possibly royal family. The event was supposedly arranged as a special performance for the family, with their daughter described as a huge Akon fan.<\/p>\n

But when it was time for the show, almost nobody arrived.<\/p>\n

Just three people were there: the wife, the son and the daughter.<\/p>\n

Akon said he walked onto a huge, nearly empty venue where only three chairs had been set up. The daughter, however, was thrilled to see him and was clearly excited for the performance.<\/p>\n

He began his set, but she quickly stopped him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to hear \u2018Mr. Lonely,\u2019\u201d she told him.<\/p>\n

So Akon performed the hit.<\/p>\n

When the song ended, she asked for it again. Then again. And again.<\/p>\n

According to Akon, he and his band ended up performing nothing but \u201cLonely\u201d for the entire hour while the daughter happily laughed and enjoyed herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s all we performed. That\u2019s it,\u201d Akon recalled, amused by the bizarre situation.<\/p>\n

He later joked that if he had known they only wanted one song, he could have simply performed karaoke in their living room and saved everyone the trouble of setting up an enormous concert.<\/p>\n
